Compliance Officer / MLRO

About the role

ADAM Global, which has helped businesses set up, grow and expand internationally for over 24 years, is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer / Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for its Dubai office. The role strengthens the compliance function and supports international clients, ensuring adherence to UAE AML/CFT regulations, conducting due diligence and maintaining effective compliance controls.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with UAE AML/CFT regulations and assist in developing and maintaining compliance policies and procedures
• Monitor regulatory developments and support internal compliance initiatives
• Conduct customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD), review onboarding documents and verify beneficial ownership and source of funds
• Maintain accurate client records and compliance documentation
• Perform AML risk assessments, identify compliance risks and recommend mitigations
• Monitor high-risk clients and transactions, escalate suspicious activity, and support regulatory reporting and compliance submissions
• Prepare compliance reports for management and advise internal teams on AML/CFT obligations

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business, Risk Management or a related field
• Minimum 3-5 years of UAE experience in Compliance, AML, Financial Crime or Regulatory functions
• Professional certifications such as CAMS, ICA or equivalent highly preferred

Required skills

• Strong understanding of UAE AML/CFT regulations and compliance frameworks
• Experience in KYC, CDD, EDD, sanctions screening and transaction monitoring
• Knowledge of risk assessment methodologies and regulatory reporting requirements
• Analytical, investigative and attention-to-detail skills, with strong communication and reporting abilities
