Construction Civil Supervisor

About the role

Petrofac is seeking a Construction Civil Supervisor to lead on‑site civil works across mechanical, piping, painting, insulation, refractory and fireproofing disciplines. You will ensure safe, high‑quality execution of earthworks, concrete, steel and road activities while supporting the company’s transition to sustainable energy solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise construction activities and field personnel across multiple civil disciplines.
• Conduct daily toolbox talks and promote site safety, reporting hazards immediately.
• Monitor daily progress, prepare construction progress reports and manpower forecasts.
• Ensure work complies with contract requirements and raise issues to the Construction Manager or Superintendent.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, provide problem‑solving support and verify material control.
• Coach and mentor less‑experienced staff and input feedback into Construction Observation Forms.
• Track and close Site Instructions, ensuring additional work is completed.
• Perform quality control inspections on received materials, in‑process installations and final works.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising civil construction activities on large projects.
• Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental (HSE) practices.
• Ability to lead toolbox talks, conduct HSE meetings and maintain accurate records.
• Experience working with subcontractors and managing material hand‑over processes.
• Capability to coach junior staff and provide clear on‑site feedback.
