Construction Manager – Global Real Estate & Facilities

About the role

The Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team at Amazon is seeking a Construction Manager to lead construction services for corporate facilities worldwide. You will oversee projects from design through operational turnover, balancing strategic vision with tactical execution.

Key responsibilities

• Represent GREF to internal customers and ensure delivery of space requirements.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to align decisions with Amazon priorities.
• Develop and implement project strategies, allocate resources, and maintain detailed timelines.
• Lead project meetings, progress reviews, and provide feedback on design guidelines and building system specifications.
• Guide contractor selection, negotiate contracts, approve budgets, manage change orders, and oversee procurement.
• Monitor project budgets, track costs, prepare forecasts, and approve payments.
• Identify and mitigate risks while ensuring compliance with contracts and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven ability to operate on both strategic and tactical levels.
• Strong internal ambassador, educator, analyst, solutions architect, and implementer.
• Willingness to travel to construction sites across Africa, the Middle East, Turkey, Greece, Israel, Malta, and Cyprus.
• Office‑based with flexibility for unique work arrangements.
