Consultant Anesthesiologist

About the role

M42, a healthcare provider with more than 480 facilities in 27 countries, is seeking an experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based anaesthesia and perioperative care. The role requires strong clinical expertise, good judgement and the ability to manage patients safely across the perioperative pathway within granted clinical privileges.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anaesthesia care, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative management and post-operative care.
• Deliver safe general, regional and sedation-based anaesthesia within granted clinical privileges.
• Assess patients, identify perioperative risks and develop anaesthetic management plans.
• Manage complex and high-risk patients requiring advanced anaesthetic care.
• Provide airway management, haemodynamic monitoring and perioperative pain management.
• Respond to anaesthetic emergencies and perioperative complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, nursing teams and other healthcare professionals.
• Supervise and support junior physicians and clinical team members as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and take part in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety activities.
• Keep practice aligned with UAE regulatory requirements and M42 policies.

Required profile

• MBBS, MBChB or equivalent recognised primary medical qualification.
• Tier 1 specialty qualification in Anesthesiology/Anaesthesia under the UAE Unified Healthcare Professional Qualification Requirements.
• Eligibility for Consultant-level licensure under the relevant UAE health authority.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant post-training experience.
