Consultant - Aviation Operations & Amadeus Solutions

About the role

Amadeus Business Consulting (ABC), part of the GSS Global Accounts & Strategic Sales organisation, provides business consulting and transformation services to the travel industry. It is looking for a knowledgeable Consultant to join its consulting hubs in Dubai and Madrid, contributing to ABC's role as a global expertise hub.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver chargeable and non-chargeable consulting services to external customers, with clear outcomes, governance and adherence to scope, budget and timeline.
• Support GSS, business domains, commercial teams, Customer Success, Pre-Sales and strategy teams by turning customer needs into value propositions, business cases and engagement approaches.
• Engage with senior and executive stakeholders, offering analytical insight and structured recommendations for transformation decisions.
• Contribute to consulting practice development, reusable assets and playbooks, service incubation and value assessment methods.
• Build expertise across travel business domains and Amadeus solutions and share knowledge to improve solution adoption and value.

Required profile

• Academic qualification in Business, Management, Finance or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience in consulting, strategy, business planning, financial management or related functions.
• Direct airline work experience or experience as an aviation consultant across several airline business domains (network planning, revenue management, commercial management and operations).
• Strong understanding of airline operations, flight operations, ground operations, disruption management and operational performance improvement.
• Familiarity with airline and airport operational concepts, irregular operations management and KPIs such as on-time performance, aircraft utilisation, turnaround efficiency and schedule adherence.
• Ability to support airlines in Operations Transformation programmes using digital technologies, operational analytics, automation and AI-enabled decision support.
• Good understanding of the Amadeus solutions portfolio with a focus on Operations solutions (DCS, CM, FM, OPR, DT ER), strong affinity for travel technology and quick learning ability.
• Communication and stakeholder management skills in an international environment; about 50% international travel required.
