Consultant Critical Care Physician – UAE

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its high‑acuity ICU and seeks a Consultant Critical Care Physician. The role offers strong clinical exposure, multidisciplinary teamwork and the chance to work in a modern, quality‑driven environment serving a diverse international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Lead management of critically ill medical, surgical, trauma and postoperative patients in the ICU.
• Provide advanced organ support including ventilation, haemodynamic management, renal support coordination and sepsis care.
• Perform critical care procedures such as airway management, central venous access and invasive monitoring.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacy and allied health teams.
• Guide family communication, goals‑of‑care discussions and ethical decision‑making.
• Support ICU protocols, infection prevention, audit, simulation training and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Internationally trained consultant with recognised critical care qualifications (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/FFICM/MRCP, European Diploma, Canadian Royal College, Australian CICM, Arab Board, DM/DNB/FCPS).
• Eligibility for UAE licensing and facility credentialing.
• Strong clinical judgement, commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills with culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Interest in long‑term career development within a premium UAE healthcare setting.
