Consultant Geriatric Medicine Physician – Dubai (Tax‑Free)

About the role

We are seeking a Consultant / Specialist in Geriatric Medicine to join a JCI‑accredited, multi‑specialty hospital in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive, patient‑centred care to an ageing population, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to the expansion of our long‑term care services in a tax‑free environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive geriatric assessments covering functional, cognitive, psychological and social domains.
• Diagnose and manage complex multimorbidity, frailty, polypharmacy and chronic conditions such as dementia, osteoporosis, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and neuro‑degenerative disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans focused on rehabilitation, quality of life and long‑term health outcomes.
• Coordinate care with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, social workers and other specialists.
• Conduct falls risk assessments, mobility management and end‑of‑life/ palliative care discussions.
• Lead medication optimisation and address polypharmacy risks.
• Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records in compliance with UAE health regulations.

Required profile

• Medical degree with board certification in Geriatric Medicine (or Internal Medicine) recognized by American Board, UK CCT, European Board, Royal College, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of post‑certification clinical experience in geriatrics.
• Eligibility for DHA/DOH/MOH licence conversion (full support provided).
• Willingness to work in Dubai’s multicultural healthcare environment.
