Consultant Hand Surgeon

About the role

Stafmed is recruiting a highly experienced Consultant Hand Surgeon for a full‑time position with a leading hospital in the UAE. The role involves delivering advanced orthopedic care for hand, wrist and upper‑extremity conditions, both surgically and non‑surgically.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of hand, wrist and upper‑extremity conditions.
• Perform hand and wrist surgical procedures, including treatment of fractures, tendon injuries, nerve compressions and complex trauma.
• Provide pre‑operative assessments, postoperative care and follow‑up.
• Develop personalised treatment plans and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with orthopaedic, plastic surgeons, physiotherapists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in clinical governance, audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery with recognised fellowship or subspecialty training in Hand Surgery.
• 3–5 years post‑specialisation experience in orthopaedic surgery, including hand surgery.
• Eligibility for Consultant‑level licensing with DHA, DOH or MOHAP.

Required skills

• Expertise in hand and wrist surgical techniques.
• Strong diagnostic and clinical decision‑making abilities for hand trauma, fractures, tendon and nerve disorders.
• Proficiency in multidisciplinary team collaboration.
