Consultant Infectious Diseases Physician – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Physician in Infectious Diseases to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering specialist care for complex infections, leading antimicrobial stewardship, and strengthening infection prevention across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a wide range of infectious diseases in inpatient and outpatient settings, including sepsis, HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, viral hepatitis and healthcare‑associated infections.
• Provide expert consultations for immunocompromised and critically ill patients, reviewing laboratory, microbiology and imaging results to develop evidence‑based treatment plans.
• Lead hospital‑wide infection prevention and control programmes, develop policies, conduct outbreak investigations and ensure compliance with isolation protocols.
• Direct antimicrobial stewardship initiatives, collaborate with pharmacy and microbiology teams to optimise antibiotic use and reduce resistance.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, quality improvement projects and clinical audits.
• Educate and mentor physicians, nurses and allied health staff on emerging infectious threats and best practices.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent qualification in Infectious Diseases with several years of clinical experience.
• Proven track record in managing complex infections and leading stewardship or infection control programmes.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work across multiple specialties.
