Consultant Neurologist

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Neurologist who specializes in diagnosing and managing neurological disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves and muscles.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis and neuropathies
• Carry out comprehensive neurological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Evaluate patients with headaches, seizures, movement disorders and other neurological symptoms
• Interpret investigations such as EEG, EMG and nerve conduction studies
• Manage complex cases, coordinate multidisciplinary care and consult on acute and chronic neurological emergencies
• Monitor treatment outcomes and counsel patients and families on diagnosis, treatment and long-term care
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to clinical quality improvement

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• MD/DNB in General Medicine or equivalent, followed by DM/DNB or equivalent specialization in Neurology
• Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level
• Experience managing complex neurological conditions and interpreting investigations
