Consultant Neurosurgeon

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant Neurosurgeon to provide advanced neurosurgical care to patients with complex neurological conditions. The role involves diagnosing and managing disorders of the brain, spine and nervous system, with on-site work.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage neurological conditions requiring neurosurgical intervention
• Perform neurosurgical procedures involving the brain, spine and nervous system
• Manage conditions such as brain tumors, spinal disorders, herniated discs and traumatic brain injuries
• Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Manage emergency cases such as head injuries and spinal trauma
• Provide pre-operative assessments and comprehensive post-operative care, monitoring recovery and complications
• Collaborate with neurologists, radiologists, intensivists and other specialists
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold high standards of patient safety

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• Relevant master's degree, postgraduate specialist qualification, fellowship or equivalent internationally recognized qualification in the specialty
• Minimum of 5 years of post-specialization experience preferred
• Experience in cranial and spinal neurosurgical procedures
