Consultant Ophthalmologist

About the role

Stafmed is recruiting a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist for a full‑time position with a leading hospital in the UAE. The role involves delivering comprehensive ophthalmic care, advanced diagnostics, and both medical and surgical eye treatments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive ophthalmic assessments, diagnosis and management of a wide range of eye conditions.
• Perform ophthalmic procedures and surgeries within the candidate’s area of expertise.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and evidence‑based guidelines.
• Collaborate with other specialists to manage complex cases and participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Board certification in Ophthalmology or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Minimum 3–5 years of post‑specialisation experience in Ophthalmology.
• Eligibility for Consultant‑level licensing with DHA, DOH or MOHAP.

Required skills

• Extensive experience in general ophthalmology.
• Strong expertise in diagnosing and managing a wide range of eye diseases.
• Proficiency in ophthalmic diagnostic techniques and treatment planning.
• Surgical skills appropriate to the candidate’s area of expertise.
