Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon – Foot & Ankle

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Foot & Ankle Surgery to join our Orthopedics Department in Abu Dhabi. The role involves comprehensive diagnosis, surgical management of complex foot and ankle disorders, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level assessment and management of foot and ankle patients, including trauma, sports injuries, degenerative conditions and deformities.
• Perform operative procedures such as foot and ankle reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, Achilles tendon surgery, corrective osteotomy, and ankle arthroplasty.
• Coordinate pre‑operative evaluation, individualized surgical plans, postoperative care and rehabilitation with physiotherapists, podiatrists and other specialists.
• Participate in outpatient clinics, on‑call services, clinical protocols, quality improvement, teaching, research and service development.

Required profile

• Medical degree and recognized postgraduate training in Orthopedic Surgery with board certification.
• Valid Department of Health Abu Dhabi Consultant license/eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Significant post‑specialist experience as a Consultant/Specialist Orthopedic Surgeon with subspecialty expertise in Foot & Ankle Surgery.
• Independent operative experience in complex foot and ankle trauma, reconstruction and degenerative cases, preferably in a tertiary‑care center.
