Consultant Pediatric Hematologist

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Consultant Pediatric Hematologist to join a leading hospital in Dubai. The role focuses on diagnosing and managing complex blood disorders in children, delivering evidence‑based care and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat pediatric hematologic conditions such as anemia, hemophilia, sickle‑cell disease, thalassemia, platelet disorders, clotting abnormalities and bone‑marrow failure syndromes.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including transfusions, iron‑chelation therapy and immunotherapy.
• Collaborate with pediatric oncologists, pathologists and geneticists to provide integrated patient care.
• Provide counseling and education to families regarding disease management and long‑term care.
• Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives and academic teaching.

Required profile

• Board‑certified in Pediatric Hematology (American Board, UK CCT or equivalent).
• DHA eligibility or a valid UAE medical license.
• Minimum five years of post‑specialization experience in a tertiary‑care or academic setting.
• Proven expertise in managing complex pediatric hematologic disorders.

Required skills

• Diagnosis and treatment of pediatric anemia, hemophilia, sickle‑cell disease, thalassemia, platelet and clotting disorders.
• Management of bone‑marrow failure syndromes.
• Design of individualized treatment plans involving transfusions, iron chelation and immunotherapy.
• Multidisciplinary collaboration with oncology, pathology and genetics teams.
