Content, Marketing & Operations Assistant

About the role

The Mahjong Boutique, a growing Mahjong lifestyle business in Dubai, is looking for a creative, organised and hands-on assistant. Content creation and marketing are central, but the role is all-round: customer care, community sessions, lessons, events, Shopify orders, founder support and day-to-day operations. The person works closely with the Sales, Operations & Admin Assistant and collaborates across content, customer care and business priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan the content calendar with the Sales, Operations & Admin Assistant and post daily on social media, including Instagram Stories, reels and feed content.
• Take product and lifestyle photos and videos, and create and edit Instagram Reels, Stories and promotional videos with captions, music and branded covers.
• Create posters, invitations and schedules in Canva, write product captions, catalogue copy and newsletters, and organise digital assets.
• Set up and run paid campaigns on Meta, Google and TikTok, track spend, leads, bookings, purchases and ROAS, test creatives and keep a weekly advertising tracker.
• Answer WhatsApp, email and DM enquiries, manage registrations, lesson bookings and customer records, and cover the product and customer phone on Sundays.
• Manage sign-ups for social Mahjong sessions, collect session payments, keep community groups active and help set up and host sessions at Dubai venues.
• Support Shopify and Instagram orders, keep the product catalogue and availability current, and coordinate printing and suppliers.
• Help the founder with their calendar, task list, routine replies, travel and errands, and prepare quotations, proposals and invoices.

Required profile

• A self-starter who notices what needs doing and gets it moving without waiting for every task to be assigned.
• Strong English and warm, professional communication.
• Comfortable learning new tools and processes independently, using AI and tutorials when needed.
• Availability 9:00am-7:00pm, six days a week (Sunday-Friday), with on-site attendance for sessions, shoots, lessons and events.

Required skills

• AI fluency (ChatGPT, Claude or similar) for research, drafting, rewriting and planning.
• Design and image editing is useful: Canva, Photoshop and Illustrator.
