Content Programming Manager (Film & TV)

About the role

Spafax is seeking a Content Programming Manager to lead the selection, programming and scheduling of movies and TV shows for an airline’s in‑flight entertainment system. This client‑facing position blends deep knowledge of film and television with analytical insight, creative judgement and meticulous attention to detail.

Key responsibilities

• Select, curate and schedule movies and TV shows, aligning with brand guidelines, passenger demographics and cabin requirements.
• Develop and implement a content programming strategy using passenger research, viewing trends and performance data.
• Lead editorial meetings with the airline client, present recommendations, explain selections and obtain approvals.
• Coordinate with Account Management, Content Acquisitions and Operations to ensure accurate, timely delivery of content.
• Manage programming timelines, communicate changes and oversee implementation of new content or technical requirements.
• Maintain programming schedules, content records and documentation while monitoring budget compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in film or TV programming, content curation, scheduling or a similar role, preferably within entertainment, broadcasting, streaming or in‑flight entertainment.
• Excellent knowledge of movies, TV and industry trends, with a genuine passion for content.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Confident English communication skills, able to present recommendations and discuss editorial decisions directly with the client.
