Contracts and Claims Lead (Arabic Speaking)

About the role

A large infrastructure firm based in the UAE is recruiting, through Black Pearl Consult, an experienced Contracts and Claims Lead. The role supports the Contracts Manager in overseeing a large portfolio of contracts and handling complex contractual and commercial matters. It is a full-time position based in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contracts throughout their lifecycle and ensure contractual obligations are properly administered.
• Review and manage claims, variations, change orders and contractual entitlements, including assessing EOT, delay, disruption and other commercial claims.
• Handle contractual notices, correspondence, supporting documentation and contract records.
• Identify contractual and commercial risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Support the administration of EPC, project, supply and operational contracts.
• Review contract performance and address issues with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Support commercial negotiations, claims resolution and dispute avoidance.
• Work closely with Projects, Procurement/Supply Chain, Finance, Legal and other stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance to the contracts team and help maintain controls across a high-volume contract portfolio.

Required profile

• Extensive contracts management experience on large-scale projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in claims management, variations and EOTs.
• Good understanding and practical experience of EPC contracts and contractual risk allocation.
• Experience reviewing contractual risks, liabilities and commercial exposure.
• Fluency in Arabic is mandatory.
• Exposure to utilities, power, water, energy, infrastructure or other major capital projects is highly advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts, preferably with formal certification or training.
• Strong negotiation, stakeholder management and contractual problem-solving skills.
