About the role

The Controller, Financial & Reporting oversees the financial operations and reporting processes of the organization. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, provides accurate financial data for decision-making and supports strategic planning through detailed financial analysis, while maintaining the integrity of financial systems and fostering accountability and transparency within the finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Advise senior management on financial strategy and risk management.
• Ensure budgeting and forecasting align with organizational goals.
• Establish internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure reliable reporting.
• Guide the finance team in resolving complex accounting issues and improving reporting.
• Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights.
• Ensure tax compliance and liaise with external auditors during audits.
• Lead cross-functional teams, oversee financial systems integration, set performance benchmarks and guide adaptation to regulatory and industry changes.
• Collaborate with other departments, report accurately to the board and investors, and represent the organization with investors and financial institutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• At least 8 years of experience in financial management and reporting.
• Preferred certifications such as CFA, CA, CPA or equivalent.

Required skills

• Highly numerate and excellent analytical skills.
• Analytical accounting.
• Core and leadership competencies as defined in the approved competency dictionary.
