Strategy Analyst

About the role

ADNOC Distribution is looking for a Strategy Analyst in Abu Dhabi to contribute to the development and implementation of its strategy, analyse the impact of initiatives, strategic projects and market presence, and suggest improvements. The role supports business strategy projects, market intelligence and financial analysis for strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Support multiple business strategy projects of varying scope, including those within a business unit or involving acquisitions and joint ventures.
• Assist in designing strategy through qualitative and quantitative analysis, and provide financial and business analysis support for strategic decisions, sharing work with senior leaders.
• Provide research and analytical support for ELT and Board papers, presentations and other communications.
• With the Market Research team, carry out market intelligence on segments, trends, technology, key accounts, competitors and product positioning.
• Perform cost and input analysis and market data analysis to build a standard set of input variables for financial and economic modelling, aligned with country and regional macro-economic factors, and submit them to the ELT for approval.
• Assist the Manager and VP Strategy in assessing strategic options, feasibility studies and due diligence on potential opportunities, including return on investment.
• Communicate analysis and strategy reports to a wide range of audiences, and build working relationships with stakeholders across ADNOC Distribution and beyond, such as Finance and business unit strategy teams.
• Provide ad-hoc strategy support to other teams within ADNOC Distribution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field; an MBA in Strategy or Finance is preferable.
• 3 years of experience in a strategy consulting role, ideally top-tier, or in an in-house strategy team of a relevant industry.
• Experience in the downstream oil and gas sector or similar commodities is preferable.
