Core Banking Services Delivery Lead

About the role

The Core Banking Services Delivery Lead will head the Domain Services workstream within a Core Banking Transformation program. The role focuses on designing, developing, and deploying BIAN‑aligned domain services and micro‑services, driving an API‑first, event‑driven architecture to transform business capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery of BIAN‑aligned Domain Services, covering design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Define and execute the “hollow‑out” strategy to extract business capabilities from the core banking platform into standalone services.
• Manage and mentor cross‑functional teams of Solution Designers, API Developers, Integration Specialists, and Architecture SMEs.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to shape the Domain Services roadmap and implementation plan.
• Establish API governance standards and ensure compliance with BIAN principles, REST standards, and OpenAPI specifications.
• Design orchestration services and integration patterns between domain services, core banking systems, and external applications.
• Drive event‑driven architecture implementation, including Kafka‑based messaging, event schemas, and domain event management.
• Coordinate with data and analytics teams to support event streaming, data integration, and reporting.
• Oversee comprehensive testing activities: API, integration, contract, and end‑to‑end validation.
• Present project status and technical decisions to senior executives.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, or Technology Delivery.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience delivering API‑led and micro‑services solutions.
• Strong knowledge of the BIAN Service Domain Model and its implementation approaches.
• Proven leadership, stakeholder management, and team‑management capabilities.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
