Corporate Finance Director, Deals

About the role

PwC is hiring a Corporate Finance Director for its Deals Corporate Finance advisory service in Dubai. The team acts as lead financial advisers in sell-side and buy-side transactions, giving clients strategic financial advice and support from deal initiation through completion, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and capital-raising.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the origination and execution of M&A (buy-side and sell-side), joint ventures and partnership transactions, with hands-on involvement in structuring, negotiation and closing.
• Execute live transactions for inbound and outbound investments, advise emerging companies seeking growth capital and shareholders seeking value through restructuring and divestment.
• Evaluate key deal issues and potential deal breakers, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms with other corporate advisors and lawyers.
• Prepare pitches and lead deal origination, and interact with senior management and business owners to inform their decisions with credible valuation analysis.
• Build credibility with existing clients, contribute to pursuit teams and proposal development, and train and develop junior team members.

Required profile

• Significant relevant experience with a background in accounting, corporate finance, investment banking, corporate strategy and restructuring, preferably in a professional services environment.
• Strong M&A experience and an active client network.
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East and occasionally internationally, sometimes away from the base office with frequent overnight stays.
• Work visa sponsorship available; government clearance required.

Required skills

• Financial analysis, valuation and financial modelling.
• Origination and execution of deals, and deal sourcing and deal structures.
• Certifications such as CFA, CPA, CA or MBA are highly regarded.
