Cost Controller & Purchasing Specialist (F&B)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Cost Controller & Purchaser with a strong background in the food‑and‑beverage sector. The role will oversee food costing, inventory control, purchasing, supplier coordination, and margin analysis across our operations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor food cost, COGS, gross profit and product margins.
• Prepare and maintain recipe costing and bill of materials (BOMs).
• Review purchase prices, analyse cost fluctuations and negotiate with suppliers.
• Conduct stock counts, investigate inventory variances and monitor wastage.
• Coordinate purchasing requirements with kitchen, butchery and operations teams.
• Source suppliers, obtain quotations and ensure competitive purchasing terms.
• Prepare and follow up purchase orders and supplier deliveries.
• Maintain accurate inventory and purchasing records in SAP/ERP.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure timely replenishment without overstocking.
• Review supplier invoices against purchase orders, GRPOs and agreed prices.
• Prepare cost‑control reports and highlight areas requiring corrective action.

Required profile

• Previous experience in F&B cost control and purchasing.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, recipe costing, BOMs and food‑cost analysis.
• Good understanding of purchasing procedures and supplier negotiation.
• Experience with SAP or another ERP system is preferred.
