Cost Manager (Post-contract)

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a detail-oriented Cost Manager (Post-contract) to join its organisation in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role supports the Commission Manager by taking responsibility for allocated post-contract cost management tasks, serving clients well and meeting their objectives through effective cost management in post-contract stages.

Key responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for allocated post-contract cost management tasks, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Administer post-contract services including interim applications, change control, variation valuations and extension of time claims, with detailed financial analysis and contractual justification in line with FIDIC and standard form contracts.
• Monitor post-contract costs by comparing actual expenditure, commitments and forecasts with approved budgets, and validate contractor invoices and change orders.
• Produce accurate cost reports, forecasts and financial information, and reconcile contract terms, invoices and accounting records.
• Communicate clearly with clients, contractors and consultants, and identify and mitigate cost-related risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in cost management and post-contract administration in construction and engineering.
• Proven experience in the UAE construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration and FIDIC standard form contracts.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information and prepare detailed cost reports and variance analyses.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, attention to detail and problem-solving ability under pressure.
