Country Operations Manager – Drilling Fluids (UAE)

About the role

The company is looking for an experienced Country Operations Manager to lead its UAE operations in the drilling fluids and drilling services sector. You will be responsible for overall business performance, operational delivery, commercial growth, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage country‑wide operations to meet business, operational and financial targets.
• Develop and execute annual business plans, growth strategies and operational forecasts.
• Drive revenue growth and profitability through effective commercial and operational management.
• Oversee sales, technical service delivery, contracts and customer relationship management.
• Identify new market opportunities and support strategic business expansion.
• Review commercial tenders, technical proposals and negotiate contracts.
• Coordinate operations, logistics, procurement, supply chain and support functions.
• Mentor department managers and operational teams to achieve performance targets.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and regulatory stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with QHSE standards, company policies and industry regulations.
• Promote safety culture, environmental responsibility and continuous improvement.
• Participate in strategic planning, budgeting and performance reviews.
• Support workforce planning, recruitment, succession planning and employee development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• MBA or Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil & gas or drilling fluids industry.
• At least 5 years in a senior management or operational leadership role.
• Proven experience managing country operations or large‑scale business units.
• Strong financial and operational management capabilities, including budgeting and resource planning.
