Field Engineer – Electrical or Mechanical (International Travel)

About the role

OmegaPack DMCC is seeking two Field Engineers – one electrical and one mechanical – to join its Technical Services team. The role involves hands‑on, client‑facing support for PE blown‑film extrusion lines across the UAE and neighbouring countries, with frequent travel to sites in India, Pakistan and the wider region.

Key responsibilities

• Install and commission PE blown‑film lines and associated equipment at customer locations.
• Perform breakdown maintenance, diagnostics and repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Provide on‑site technical support, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults.
• Advise clients on machine optimisation, preventive maintenance and best operating practices.
• Document service activities, prepare technical reports and feed information back to the internal team.
• Collaborate with the wider technical team to ensure consistent, high‑quality service delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (for the electrical role) or Mechanical Engineering (for the mechanical role).
• 3–5 years of experience with PE blown‑film lines from manufacturers such as Windmöller & Hölscher, Hosokawa Alpine or Reifenhäuser.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis, including to India and Pakistan.
• Fluency in English; additional languages (Arabic, Hindi/Urdu) are a plus.
• Valid UAE driving licence preferred.
