Cover Supervisor / Core Enrichment Supervisor

About the role

GEMS FirstPoint School is looking for a proactive Cover Supervisor/Core Enrichment Supervisor to join the team on an immediate start. You will ensure continuity of learning when teachers are absent, keeping students engaged and on task.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise classes during teacher absence, delivering pre‑prepared lesson plans.
• Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behaviour.
• Provide support and assistance to students as needed.
• Report any issues or concerns to appropriate school staff.
• Ensure student safety and well‑being throughout class time.
• Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in a similar role or educational setting is an advantage.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline.
• Flexibility, adaptability and a commitment to safeguarding children.
