Customer Service Coordinator (Logistics)

About the role

The Customer Service Coordinator will act as the primary liaison between customers, agents and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations in Dubai. You will manage bookings, documentation, and communication to support timely vessel arrivals and cargo handling.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily follow‑ups with customers and circulate Cargo Booking Forecasts.
• Coordinate and process bookings for company services and third‑party carriers.
• Verify customer details, issue Voyage No Objection Certificates, and prepare arrival notices for import customers.
• Respond promptly to customer inquiries, provide quotations and maintain regular updates on vessel schedules.
• Enter booking details and vessel schedules into internal ERP systems and ensure accurate record‑keeping.
• Identify inactive customers, implement win‑back initiatives and monitor loading volumes.
• Support health, safety and environmental compliance, reporting incidents as required.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or Maritime Studies.
• Minimum 2–3 years of customer service experience in shipping, logistics, freight forwarding or maritime industry.
• Strong understanding of the Middle East shipping and logistics market.
• Ability to work onsite in Dubai and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Experience with standard industry shipping and logistics ERP software.
