Cyber Security Analyst (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Cyber Security Analyst to monitor, analyze, and respond to security events for a global technology client. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while protecting critical infrastructure and sensitive data.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security events from SIEM platforms, firewalls, and IDS/IPS systems.
• Investigate incidents, determine scope, impact, and root cause.
• Implement and maintain security controls to mitigate risks.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with findings and recommendations.

Required profile

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or QRadar.
• Knowledge of network security protocols, firewalls, and IDS/IPS.
• Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools (Nessus, OpenVAS, Qualys).
• Understanding of security frameworks like NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.
• Ability to analyze logs and network traffic for anomalies.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Self‑motivated and able to manage time effectively in a remote setting.
