Data Center Electrical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to design, implement and maintain the electrical infrastructure of our data centre facilities in Abu Dhabi. The role combines technical design, hands‑on maintenance and project leadership to ensure reliable power delivery for critical IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement electrical systems, including power distribution, UPS systems, generators and lighting.
• Conduct regular maintenance and troubleshooting to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
• Perform load calculations and develop detailed electrical schematics and diagrams.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant safety standards, codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with other engineers and IT staff to integrate electrical systems with broader data centre infrastructure.
• Manage electrical projects from concept through completion, handling budgeting, scheduling and vendor coordination.
• Monitor and analyse system performance, providing recommendations for improvements.
• Participate in emergency response and recovery operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of electrical engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a data centre environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and project management skills.
