Data Center Technicians Manager

About the role

As a Data Center Technicians Manager at Microsoft in Abu Dhabi, you will lead a team of data‑center technicians responsible for hardware deployments, diagnostics, and de‑commissions across Microsoft’s cloud infrastructure. You will ensure compliance with service‑level agreements, monitor KPIs, and foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Guide and hold the team accountable for compliance with Data Center Services (DCS) policies, procedures, and service‑change guidelines.
• Ensure technicians are trained on installation, deployment, replacement, and post‑execution quality‑check processes, and verify that quality checks are completed correctly.
• Prioritize and rebalance work across the team, lead triage meetings, and adjust priorities in response to changing demands.
• Escalate issues through appropriate channels, track resolutions, and share knowledge with relevant teams.
• Conduct daily safety briefings, enforce PPE and other safety procedures, and participate in on‑site safety committees.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent with basic knowledge of computer hardware.
• Minimum 3 years experience supporting IT equipment and at least 1 year of experience directing or supervising a technical team.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks and any required government security screenings.
