Data Entry Specialist

About the role

A detail-oriented and organised Data Entry Specialist is sought to maintain accurate records, manage digital information and support daily administrative and data management operations. The role involves entering, updating, verifying and organising data across internal databases, spreadsheets and digital systems, and keeping records current and confidential.

Key responsibilities

• Enter, update, verify and organise data in internal databases, spreadsheets and digital systems
• Review source documents for completeness, identify inconsistencies and correct errors
• Assist with document processing, file organisation and data reconciliation
• Prepare basic reports and help ensure information is accessible, properly categorised and available for operational activities and decision-making
• Follow established procedures, meet deadlines and work independently on routine tasks

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma or degree in Business Administration, Information Management or a related field is an advantage
• Strong attention to detail, good written communication and ability to follow instructions
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly and work reliably and methodically
• Willingness to learn new software systems and data management tools

Required skills

• Good typing speed and accuracy
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, or equivalent productivity tools
• Familiarity with spreadsheets, databases, document management systems and digital recordkeeping
• Ability to verify information, identify discrepancies and correct data entry errors
