Data Platform Engineer

About the role

BlackStone eIT is seeking a Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms that support the company’s analytics and processing needs. You will work closely with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to deliver reliable data pipelines and enhance the overall data infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and storage of large datasets.
• Implement ETL/ELT processes, ensure data quality, and optimize database performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Assist in data governance, security measures, and documentation of data infrastructure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or platform development.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.

• Python (async pipelines, scripting)
• PostgreSQL (schema design, migrations, query optimization)
• Azure Data Lake Storage & Synapse Analytics
• dbt (transformation, testing, documentation)
• Apache Airflow or Azure Data Factory
• Data quality frameworks (Great Expectations, dbt tests)
• Observability tools (Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Microsoft Graph API, SharePoint, M365 extraction
• Redis (queue management, caching)
• Docker (containerized jobs)
• Advanced SQL (analytical queries, window functions)
