Data Reporting Engineer

About the role

A well-established retail organisation with a strong regional presence is looking for a Data Reporting Engineer in Dubai. You will support and enhance a business-critical analytics ecosystem, keeping reporting platforms, data integrations and batch processes efficient and accurate. Working with business and technical stakeholders, you will develop reports, maintain data integrity and deliver insights that support decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enhance reporting solutions across Oracle Retail Insights, Customer Insights, Power BI, SSRS and OBIEE.
• Monitor daily batch processing and data loads, investigating and resolving failures to minimise reporting disruption.
• Perform data validation and reconciliation between operational systems and analytics platforms.
• Support integrations, upgrades, patches and system enhancements in line with governance and change-management standards.
• Work with merchandising, finance and operations teams to deliver reporting improvements and analytical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline.
• 3-5 years' experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics or Reporting environments.
• Strong SQL and Oracle Database skills, with experience in ETL, data integration and reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills; Arabic is an advantage.
