Debug and Repair Technician – PCBA

About the role

Eaton is seeking a Debug & Repair Technician specialized in printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) to diagnose and repair defective units, ensuring full functionality and supporting production lines in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Use test and measurement tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, programmers, thermal cameras, and debug software to identify component‑level and circuit‑level issues.
• Replace, rework, or re‑solder defective components using soldering, desoldering, hot‑air and rework stations while maintaining PCB integrity.
• Interpret schematics, layout drawings, BOMs, test reports and engineering instructions to guide repairs.
• Document repair actions, root causes, and verification results for full traceability.
• Support production by providing fast failure feedback, identifying recurring defects, and escalating systemic issues.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in PCBA debugging, fault analysis and repair.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and communicate findings clearly.

Required skills

• Practical experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, programmers and thermal cameras.
• Soldering, desoldering, hot‑air rework techniques and IPC repair standards.
• Reading and interpreting schematics, layout drawings and BOMs.
• ESD safety procedures and handling of moisture‑sensitive devices.
