Delivery Lead - Digital Banking Portfolio

About the role

An AI and data consultancy is seeking a Delivery Lead to act as the single point of accountability for a major digital banking portfolio in Dubai. The role covers Retail Banking Group modernizations, mobile banking apps and digital customer journeys, and serves as the exclusive escalation channel to the Executive Sponsor.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain the master integrated portfolio plan (timelines, budgets, milestones, dependencies) and act as the single point of accountability when projects slip.
• Triage portfolio risks, issues and blockers against escalation thresholds and present recovery options to the Executive Sponsor.
• Review and approve every Steering Committee pack, attend all SteerCos and challenge status, risks and decision papers.
• Test slippage at source, agree formal recovery plans with internal squads and external vendors, and track remediation to closure.
• Track burn rates, financial forecasts and change requests, and manage vendor performance against scope, milestones and commercial terms.
• Coordinate technical leads across Architecture, AI/Data and Platform so they speak with one voice to the Sponsor.

Required profile

• 10+ years of technology delivery experience managing complex, multi-stream portfolios in top-tier banks or consultancies.
• Solid background delivering technology programs in Retail Banking environments.
• Hands-on delivery experience with mobile app releases, digital onboarding, internet banking or end-to-end digital customer journey transformations.
• World-class verbal, written and visual presentation skills, able to turn complex metrics into clear C-suite narratives.
• Experience presenting to C-level executives, managing client friction with high EQ and driving accountability across teams.
• Deep experience managing vendor SLAs, statements of work, burn rates and commercial change requests.
• Advantage: direct experience leading digital delivery for major banks in the UAE or GCC, and certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, SPC or Scrum Alliance.
