Demand Planning Specialist – Grocery Operations

About the role

Talabat is expanding its grocery offering through Talabat Mart, a cloud‑store concept delivering groceries within 30 minutes. We are looking for a Demand Planning Specialist to ensure optimal inventory levels across our stores in the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily stock movement and adjust inventory to avoid out‑of‑stock (OOS) or overstock (OVS) situations.
• Maintain and update replenishment parameters such as lead times, reorder points, EOQ, and supplier minimum order quantities in the system.
• Prepare demand forecasts, initiate store orders, and track receipt of goods.
• Coordinate inventory management with Category Managers.
• Produce timely analysis and reports on inventory and purchase forecasts.
• Dispatch orders to suppliers and ensure proper tracking.
• Liaise with suppliers to improve collaborative forecasting, planning, and replenishment.
• Maintain accurate records of in‑stock and inventory positions.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in demand planning or related supply‑chain roles.
• Highly detail‑oriented, structured, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Comfortable interacting with senior executives and managing multiple stakeholder expectations.
• Proactive learner who thrives in ambiguous environments.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities, with hands‑on experience using planning tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and intercultural skills; able to inspire cross‑functional teams.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a strong advantage.
