Demi Chef de Partie – In‑Room Dining (Seasonal)

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Jumeira in Dubai is seeking a seasonal Demi Chef de Partie for its In‑Room Dining kitchen. Working under the guidance of senior chefs, you will help prepare high‑quality dishes while maintaining strict food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Chef de Partie and cover their duties during absences.
• Wash, peel, and prepare ingredients for service.
• Ensure mise en place meets the hotel’s quality standards.
• Follow plating guides and presentation specifications.
• Manage ingredient inventory, storage, and labeling.
• Maintain clean and sanitized work surfaces, tools, and utensils.
• Support kitchen and stewarding cleanliness, and perform daily checks.
• Adhere to Mandarin Oriental food‑safety standards and UAE municipal regulations.
• Contribute to customer satisfaction in line with MOHG Legendary Quality Experiences.

Required profile

• High school qualification; culinary diploma preferred.
• Minimum 2 years experience in a 5‑star hotel or high‑volume restaurant.
• Availability from November to June.
• Fluent English; Arabic or other languages a plus.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Physical capability to lift and move items up to 15 kg.
• Clear communication with peers and supervisors.
