Demi Chef De Partie

About the role

A hotel kitchen in Dubai is looking for a Demi Chef De Partie to work alongside a team and help make the food that guests enjoy. The role covers cooking, station management, quality control and mentoring junior staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in ingredient preparation, mise en place and cooking under the guidance of the Chef de Partie
• Execute cooking tasks according to recipes and the hotel's quality standards
• Maintain and organise the assigned kitchen section, keeping it clean and equipment running properly
• Check that dishes meet quality, taste and presentation standards before serving
• Follow food safety and hygiene regulations, including handling, storage and disposal of food
• Help develop new menu items, test recipes and suggest improvements
• Work closely with other kitchen staff to keep operations smooth and efficient
• Help monitor food inventory, place orders and manage stock levels
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, including Commis Chefs and apprentices
• Be flexible and able to work in different kitchen sections, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Required profile

• Culinary school diploma or equivalent culinary training
• Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel or restaurant kitchen
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
• Strong culinary skills and a passion for cooking
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen
• Good communication and teamwork skills, attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Currently in the UAE and ready to join immediately is an advantage
