Demi Chef de Partie

About the role

Anantara Mina Al Arab Ras Al Khaimah Resort is looking for a Demi Chef de Partie to perform all activities within the restaurant kitchen, ensuring a safe, smoothly running and profitable operation within the framework of the hotel. The position also supports the development of restaurant concepts and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform all kitchen activities and support the development of restaurant concepts and standards.
• Be familiar with local markets and suppliers and recommend menu changes according to seasonal product availability.
• Follow food preparation and presentation guidelines to ensure consistent quality, and recommend improvements to presentation guidelines.
• Maintain food safety and protection, including dating, proper storage and rotation of food, and keep working areas clean and sanitized.
• Take responsibility for the asset management of outlet property and facilities.
• Participate in departmental training, train team members and promote positive inter-departmental cooperation.
• Maintain and oversee adherence to departmental checklists and cleaning schedules, and carry out special projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation.
• Ability to work independently on an assigned kitchen section.
• Understanding of food safety, HACCP, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control and waste management.
• Good communication and teamwork, time management and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and mentor junior kitchen staff.
• Food Safety or Food Handler certificate.
