Deputy Chief Flight Instructor

About the role

flydubai is looking for a Deputy Chief Flight Instructor to support oversight and support of the Core Flying Phase of its Multi-Pilot License (MPL) programme. The role ensures compliance with GCAA regulations, safety and training requirements, and works closely with contracted training providers.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with GCAA regulations, academy procedures and safety requirements across assigned flight training activities.
• Oversee and monitor flight training delivered by contracted providers against approved standards, and manage their Service Level Agreements.
• Ensure standardisation and quality assurance of flight instruction across all training phases.
• Deliver Instrument Rating Instructor (IRI) training for Synthetic Flight Instructors on FTD/FNPT devices for the Basic Phase MPL training.
• Monitor cadets' performance, progress and competency, and recommend improvements; support development of training programmes and syllabi.
• Keep training records and documentation accurate, complete and compliant, and verify instructors' qualifications, currency and recency.
• Ensure compliance with flight time, duty time and fatigue management requirements, and report performance, compliance and operational issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree (3+ years).
• ICAO or CPL holder with Single Engine Piston, Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings, Flight Instructor Rating and Class Rating Instructor rating.
• Minimum 2,000 flight hours and 7-9 years of experience with qualifications.
• Fluent in English.
• Reads and complies with the company's information security policies and completes required awareness sessions.
