Deputy Head of Discipline – Civil & Structural

About the role

Rejlers International Engineering Solutions is seeking a Deputy Head of Discipline for Civil & Structural engineering to support project execution and bids in Abu Dhabi. Reporting to the Head of Discipline, you will help shape the strategic direction of the discipline and act as Lead Engineer on projects.

Key responsibilities

• Deputize for the Head of Discipline, managing all aspects of the civil and structural engineering discipline.
• Support project execution, resource allocation, health & safety, and budget management.
• Lead and develop the team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.
• Drive executional improvement, quality assurance, and continuous dialogue within the discipline.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with at least 18 years of Oil & Gas experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a management role, preferably with UAE/ADNOC experience.
• Strong communication, leadership, and analytical abilities.
• Physically and mentally fit to perform on‑site duties.

Required skills

• Proficiency in civil/structural software: STAAD Pro, Ram Connections, Mat3D, Foundation 3D, SACS, Midas, SAP, Ansys.
• Advanced Excel and programming knowledge (bonus).
• 2D drafting tools: AutoCAD, MicroStation.
• Familiarity with 3D modelling software and international codes (BS, Eurocodes, ACI, ASCE, AISC, API).
