Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) – Compliance

About the role

Binance is seeking a Deputy MLRO to support its Compliance & MLR Officer in ensuring adherence to virtual‑asset regulations across the UAE and potentially the wider region. This senior position will play a pivotal role in maintaining a robust AML/CFT framework within one of the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchanges.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining AML/CFT compliance aligned with UAE AML Law and regulator guidance.
• Coordinate with free‑zone and federal regulators for inspections, audits, and information requests.
• Oversee daily transaction‑monitoring alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and draft STRs/SARs for submission to the UAE FIU.
• Support the tuning and development of automated monitoring systems.
• Help draft and update AML/CTF policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
• Deliver AML/CFT awareness training and provide regulatory guidance to staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in compliance, AML/CFT, or regulatory affairs within the MEASA financial services sector.
• Strong investigative mindset, high attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive information with integrity.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex compliance matters to internal and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field.

Required skills

• Familiarity with blockchain forensics platforms such as Chainalysis and Elliptic.
• Experience with compliance tools and case‑management systems.
