Design Engineer – Aviation Refueling Vehicles

About the role

The Design Engineer will lead the creation and development of STAAR’s aviation refueling vehicles, fuel handling equipment, and related components. Working from the Dubai office, you will translate functional requirements into robust, manufacturable designs while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed 3‑D models and 2‑D drawings using SolidWorks for all product families.
• Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including part numbers, drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with Production Engineering and Purchasing to validate design feasibility, cost, and manufacturability.
• Perform design reviews and incorporate feedback from cross‑functional teams.
• Support prototype testing and iterate designs based on test results.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing industrial equipment or vehicles.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost‑optimization.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.
