Design Manager – Senior Architect for Sharjah Airport

About the role

Oneworks is seeking a Senior Architect / Design Manager to lead the architectural design of the landmark Sharjah Airport project. The role is based full‑time at the site office in Sharjah and involves close collaboration with the client and multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own the delivery of the architectural design scope, ensuring compliance with budget, programme and quality standards.
• Lead design development, reviews, coordination and execution from concept through construction and handover.
• Manage and mentor the design team, aligning performance with project expectations.
• Review and approve architectural deliverables, drawings and submittals for code and standard compliance.
• Identify, manage and mitigate design risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (Master’s preferred).
• 8–15 years of architectural design experience, including at least 3 years on aviation projects.
• Proven leadership of design teams on large‑scale, high‑profile developments.
• Strong knowledge of international and local building codes and standards.
• UAE/GCC experience with fluency in English.
