Design Technology Teacher

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a Design Technology Teacher to join its network of schools in Abu Dhabi immediately. The role involves inspiring, engaging and challenging students in a nurturing, play‑based environment while delivering high‑quality, inclusive learning experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate clear understanding of the Design Technology curriculum and implement it to achieve learning outcomes.
• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons that cater to the full ability range, including SEN, EAL and gifted & talented students.
• Organise classroom resources, displays and learning environments that encourage creativity and critical thinking.
• Assess student progress against clear objectives and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Facilitate hybrid, distance‑learning and face‑to‑face sessions in line with school policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience teaching Design Technology or a similar subject in an international school.
• Experience working with students for whom English is an additional language.
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with parents and a diverse multicultural community.
• Commitment to inclusive education, safeguarding policies and professional conduct.
