Development Engineer II – Large Caliber Ammunition

About the role

We are looking for a Development Engineer II to lead the design and development of large‑caliber ammunition systems throughout their full lifecycle, from concept through qualification to industrial production. The role combines advanced engineering analysis with hands‑on prototype development and test coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Perform conceptual, preliminary, and detailed design of large‑caliber ammunition.
• Conduct engineering analyses such as lethality, penetration, and structural performance.
• Define production line requirements and support industrialisation activities.
• Participate in prototype manufacturing, test preparation, and execution of test campaigns.
• Ensure compliance with military standards and safety regulations.
• Prepare, control, and maintain technical documentation.
• Support proposals, coordinate with suppliers, and drive continuous improvement.
• Execute MRP/ERP related tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 3–5 years of experience in large‑caliber ammunition design.
• Specialist‑level knowledge of ammunition design principles.
• Strong planning, communication, and teamwork abilities.
