Director - Commercial & Strategy

About the role

The Director – Commercial & Strategy will lead the identification, evaluation, and acquisition of new partnership, investment and development opportunities for Dubai Holding Land Estates. Reporting to senior leadership, the role shapes the pipeline of high‑value deals that align with the organization’s long‑term growth agenda and the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.

Key responsibilities

• Source and originate strategic investment, development and partnership opportunities across asset classes.
• Maintain a robust pipeline through proactive market engagement, intelligence gathering and competitor analysis.
• Oversee feasibility studies, financial assessments and risk analyses for all sourced opportunities.
• Coordinate cross‑functional due diligence, including legal, financial, technical and master‑planning inputs.
• Lead negotiations with landowners, developers, investors, partners and government entities.
• Design commercial and transaction structures that maximise financial returns and strategic fit.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience (120 months) in real‑estate investment, development or related commercial strategy roles.
• Proven track record of sourcing and closing complex deals in the real‑estate sector.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to assess market trends, regulatory changes and competitive dynamics.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.
