Director Corporate Banking - Abu Dhabi

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is looking for a Director of Corporate Banking in Abu Dhabi. The role manages client relationships for an assigned corporate banking portfolio, achieving revenue targets while keeping client satisfaction and credit quality high. It involves close internal and external collaboration, including meetings across time zones and tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in financial analysis of clients and their industries or markets to spot opportunities and risks.
• Originate new business with target clients across banking products and prepare term sheets, information memoranda and mandate letters.
• Review and negotiate deals, resolving credit, market and operational risks with product and enablement units.
• Maintain acceptable credit quality, achieve financial performance targets, and grow cross-selling with key clients.
• Prepare account plans, keep client files and documents up to date, and submit credit reviews on time.
• Manage KYC and compliance, and follow ORM, BCP and internal audit requirements.
• Assist the Executive Director / Line Manager with day-to-day client calls and unit activities, and help prepare statements and reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's in business administration or finance is preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in corporate banking.
• Knowledge of the banking sector, FAB's products and business strategies.
• Ability to work under pressure, analyse and research information, and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
