Director, Family Group and Diversified Conglomerates (UAE Nationals)

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is looking for a Director to manage and grow large account portfolios and client relationships in the Family Groups and Conglomerates segment. The role supervises day-to-day activities and client interactions so that revenue targets are met while keeping client satisfaction and portfolio credit quality high. It requires close internal and external collaboration, including meetings across time zones and tight deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in financial analysis of clients and their industries/markets to spot opportunities and risks
• Originate new business and develop term sheets, information memoranda and mandate letters
• Pitch, review, negotiate and conclude deals, resolving credit, market and operational risks with product and enablement units
• Maintain acceptable credit quality, prepare and maintain account plans and client files, and submit credit reviews on time
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and achieve individual and team financial targets
• Manage KYC and compliance, and follow ORM, BCP and internal audit requirements
• Support the Executive Director / Line Manager with administrative and transactional tasks such as client calls, payment processing, documentation follow-up, account openings and pipeline updates
• Prepare timely statements and reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Management, Engineering or a related discipline; MBA or Master's in business administration or finance preferred
• 8-10 years of experience in investment or corporate banking
• Ability to work under pressure, analyse and research information, and adapt quickly to changing priorities

• Knowledge of the banking sector and FAB's products and business strategies
• Banking software systems and data analysis and financial modelling
• Credit analysis and FOREX skills
