Director of Commercial

About the role

As a member of the Executive Committee, you will lead the Commercial function at Rosewood Abu Dhabi, overseeing Sales, Revenue Management, Reservations, Distribution, and Business Development. You will work closely with the Managing Director and department leaders to drive commercial excellence and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the hotel's commercial strategy to maximize revenue, profitability, market share and long‑term performance.
• Lead Sales, Revenue Management, Reservations, Distribution and Business Development teams to achieve commercial objectives.
• Drive revenue optimisation through pricing, forecasting, inventory management and channel performance.
• Identify new business opportunities and strengthen relationships with corporate, leisure, government and wholesale partners.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer behaviour to inform strategic decisions.
• Partner with operational leaders to align commercial initiatives with financial performance and guest experience.
• Oversee annual budgets, revenue forecasts and business plans.
• Foster a high‑performance culture through coaching, talent development and succession planning.

Required profile

• Proven hospitality leader with a strong track record in luxury hotel revenue growth.
• Strategic thinker with deep expertise in sales, revenue management, distribution, reservations and business development.
• Excellent relationship‑building skills with key corporate, leisure and government clients.
• Strong financial acumen, comfortable managing budgets, forecasts and profitability initiatives.
• Effective communicator able to influence stakeholders at all levels.
